The guys at Orion Creative love a lot of things. We are all passionate about what we do: be
it working on websites, designing logos, magazines, complete corporate brands or working on
our cars, our skiing or anything else in between. We all have a passion and that is what makes
us a worthwhile bunch to get to know.
We have a BBQ every Friday on our balcony and invite you to pop in for a chat and a steak or
whatever else is being conjured up!

Managing Director, Graphic Designer
Mark likes stuff. He is mysterious... extremely. We asked him to fill out his biography. He just smiled. I know... mysterious right!?
From what we can gather, he has spent many years in graphic design, 20 years of the stuff, making him old and wise, he knows a lot about it. Was designing logos for Rugby mates when 'God's dog was a pup.' He is also pretty good on the BBQ, and can wakeboard. There was a shark chasing him in this photo.
Obsessive about things being done the right way the first time, bla bla bla. Loves all things Gen X.
Graphic & Web Designer
Shaun joined the Orion team as a graphic designer late in 2009 (around 11pm). Growing up, he was rejected by all the girls, so instead he found a love for illustration by reading Mad Magazine in year five. He has been drawing and crying ever since.
A love for design developed in year six when he read Robert Bringhurst's: The Elements of Typographic Style. Or maybe he read Harry Potter; his memory is spotty.
His childhood dream was that one where you're running away from a man in a gorilla suit and it's like running through jelly so you can't escape...ahem...anyway. Shaun strives to put much thought and care into every design he does. We just wish he would put more thought into his biography.
Graphic & Web Designer
The latest recruit and young gun of the team, Scott has spent the last several years either freelancing or studying (sometimes both!), and is now looking to kick start his career with Orion Creative.
Coming primarily from a print background, Scott has now turned his attention to learning the ins and outs of web design, recently completing a year long course to expand his knowledge on HTML, CSS and interface design.
When not designing, Scott can usually be found wherever good bands are playing, shredding on one of his many guitars or being hassled over how long it took him to write this bio. He acts like he's too busy for such trivial matters, but we all know he is just sitting at home playing his Xbox.
He feels weird writing about himself in the third person, and has heard the word "awesome" more times at Orion than he has in his entire life.

This is Sam. She—that's right, she—is the new kid in the block. A few things you don't know about her: she loves chicken; she loves cheese; she doesn't like birds (there's been one too many bad experiences); and thinks the colour yellow brings the sunshine out in everyone.
A COFA graduate, Sam has completed a double degree in Design and Art Education. She's worked as a freelancer designing primarily for print, but is getting to know web.
Her passion for design began at the age of 5, when she decided she hated reading, but loved making cards for people. She followed her creative instincts and many years later, she still hates reading and works in the coolest job in the world, where she works her arse off doing what she loves.

Jasmine is the new girl around here. She’s 20 something, born and raised in the quiet streets of Sydney. With a passion for design, she loves working with people and has a fetish for paper, typography, print and pixels.
She has completed the Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) in UWS and believes design is an essential part of our everyday lives.
Her big appetite for design always brings fresh and unique ideas to the table and she promises she won’t give you big messy scribbles on a blank page unless specifically required to do so. But when she is not designing, she loves to sleep.

Jen loves lamp. She also likes words. She writes many of them, each day. Sometimes if we ask nicely, she says some out loud. She's been using words for thirty years, and has been placing them on paper in effective copy type situations for over a decade. She's found herself in the right place at the right time to work on some pretty great projects, for bloody loads of people, including Mark Webber, Football Federation Australia, AMP, Fuji Xerox and Toyota. We'd never call her a grammatical pedant…to her face.
